We were so fortunate to be invited to a "retreat" for the last two days. We are so thankful to have great friends that sponsored this retreat for a non-profit called Generous Giving. Thank you so much Polks for inviting us and sharing the message of generous giving. I am really disappointed in myself that I did not take any pictures. It was a small, intimate group of couples, some we did know, and some we did not. Three of the couples had one important thing in common as we are all adopting from Africa. It was so great to meet these 2 couples here and here!!!! God pricked our hearts in many ways these last 24 hours. Above all, I am reminded of the joy that it is to give and bless others.

When I came home and was catching up on all my blogs.... I ran across this little video.... I had to share. I first started following Kelly, who is the founder of Ordinary Hero, as she was picking her son up in Ethiopia. She just took a group of 22 people to Ethiopia. Here is just a glimpse of one day of their trip. (Kelly is the aunt of the famous Lucy Lane)

Oh, Heather. What an inspirational video. I cannot believe all that they found at the trash dump. We take so much for granted here. SO MUCH.

The winker was precious. Such beautiful children.

Thanks for sharing this with us!
