Meet some of our newest Peeps....
It's funny really.... never would I have dreamed that we would be joined in this journey with this group of people. Our common bond, you ask??? First being that we are all adopting from Africa (Ethiopia and Rwanda). Second, we all graduated from the best college ever, Abilene Christian University. (well.... except for my husband! ha! I had to go across town to the Baptist Univerisity in Abilene where he was on a baseball scholarship to find him!) Anywhoo -
Anyway - I had to fly last night, so I didn't get to go.... which I was really sad about. But Derek gave me a play by play (well as good as he does those) of the recount of last night. Basically, he just said, it was so AMAZINGLY AWESOME.... we sat around the table and talked about Africa for hours.... it doesn't get any better than that!

I can't wait to show you the AFTER picture some day!!! :) 147 MILLION MINUS FIVE LESS ORPHANS!!! God is so good!
SO.... Jacobs, McCuistons, Russells, and Tidmore's..... we can't wait to get together again!!!! Thank you so much McCuistons for hosting... our family had such a great time.

Love this!!! So great to have a fun, support group around you in the adoption process! And it'll be so wonderful for your children too!
We missed you!! But, we also decided this has to be a regular thing. So, we'll do it again very soon! And, it was cute...Kendyll and Ellison had a good time bonding, and K said "Mom, she's going to ACU too! So, we'll be there together!" Hilarious. They only have ten years to go... :) My girls REALLY loved having your girls there.
I LOVE that God has given us such a great group of adoptive families. And, Derek is right. It was SO AWESOME to just sit and chat about such amazing things happening all over Africa! WOO HOO!!!
We missed you Heather!!! We must make this a regular thing...in fact your hubby offered your house next
time :) Henry has not stopped talking about Brooks. He was so sweet to play with him. We are thankful for your family and excited to be on this journey with you!
I can't wait for the next one! Seriously, we have to do this again SOON! I love that God has given us such an awesome group of friends who are on the same journey. I don't want to miss out on any of the blessings that I know will come from time with each of you. And Heather - seriously, you are no where close to 20 years older than any of us ;).
How cool. I'm sad you couldn't be there, but know future get togethers will be even better with you present!
