9 year old quote of the day!

Ellison and I were cleaning up her room last night.  Our conversation went down something like this...

Ella:  Mom, "S" (one of her bests) is going to miss our Valentines party.

Me:  Why won't she be there?

Ella:  She will be on her ski trip... and she just got back from Hawaii!  Why does she get to go on so many vacations and we don't?

Me:  Well, sometimes God calls us..........

Ella (interrupting me):  to do things that you don't think that you can afford, but then He surprises you????

Me:  Yes, exactly Ellison, that is exactly right!

She was referring to the expense of our adoption and lack of vacations.  But, the girl gets it.  At 9 years old, she gets it.  She gets that the Lord will provide for the things He has called us to do.  A good reminder even for this momma.

I love her!
