Part 1
of our story
Really not sure how to even start this post...
God has overwhelmed us with His goodness and His provision
A story has played out
that we could have never expected or believed.
Once again...
my words are so very inadequate.
I will attempt to start at the beginning.
In early September,
Derek looked at me and said, "what's plan B?"
(of course talking about Little Man)
We could see the writing on the wall that it would
still be a very long while before we would have a referral.
We started this process when Brooks was in 7th grade.
And this whole big shabang was originally his idea!
God used him and the girls to show us that adopting was His plan for our lives.
We originally thought that we would bring Little Man home when Brooks was in 8th grade.
Fast forward... he is now a freshman in high school.... still no Little Man.
and no referral coming anytime soon.
We really wanted for Brooks to have some real time with Little Man before he leaves for college.
So we started doing a little research, if you will.
We got on a very preliminary wait list for another agency at the beginning of September.
In the meantime, we just waited on God.
We prayed that God would lead us to our precious Little Man wherever he was,
whatever agency he was with.
We were beginning to have to update our homestudy and loads of other paperwork.
This is where things were starting to come to a crossroads.
We kinda needed to make a decision as to which direction we were going to go,
to bring Little Man home.
I contacted the agency where we were on a preliminary waitlist,
but had not yet been accepted into their program,
or even had applied to their program.
(It's all a little confusing!)
Anyway, they told me that they would not be allowing anymore families into their program,
until at least March.
This was the beginning of January.
So, we decided to continue on the path that we have been on for the last 2 years.
And then...
I kid you not...
THREE DAYS LATER...
This new agency invited us to apply to their program...
I had prayed that God would open doors if our Little Man was there.
to be continued...
