Well...
I've already posted about the biggest day in Ethiopia,
but I wanted to go back and document the rest of the trip.
Since you know,
it was a trip of a lifetime and all...
Leaving DFW
just me and Brittany...
cuz Aimee was late...
cuz that's how Aimee rolls... late... always.
the 3 bigs
have I mentions how well they traveled...
seriously could not have asked for them to be any better! :)
In Amsterdam
And after all these years...
finally in Ethiopia!!!
Day 1 in Ethiopia...
been saving points for 2 1/2 years for this...
won't be so swanky next trip...
shopping!!!
boughs lots of Ethiopian goodies to have around the house...
hopefully will make Beck happy to have some culture...
that's how I justified all that shopping, anyway! ha!
our fam and our driver, Abey...
who is just the bomb.com...
loved him!
Lunch at Island Breeze..
probably our favorite meal...
what can I say?... we love mexican food!
going to the secret place for authentic Ethiopian jerseys...
then we headed out to another orphanage to love and play with kids...
it's not anything related to YWAM or CHI...
just saying...
and I have no idea if I should say the name or not... so I'm just not gonna. :(
the kids were precious!!!
Then this little one asked...
why Brooks had a cow on his hat...
which led to...
of course...
the teaching of how to make your hands go
HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!
and then Ellison started doing back handsprings...
and back tucks...
which led to many of the kids doing their own version of that!
so funny!
everyone was laughing and having a blast!
hysterical
this sweet girl...
she was stuck to me like glue...
just so precious.
everybody wants their turn!
It was all fun and games until Ellison cut her leg on something...
Nurse Aimee to the rescue with her 1st aid kit...
thankful for her!
sweet Abey looking after ellison!
It was time to wrap it up here...
It was such a joy to spend time with these kids..
They are just so precious!
and then it was off to dinner at Makush (sp?)

end of day 1!
