The day we went to the zoo...

It is amazing that I might just have 

a real blog post.

and not just some dumb instagram photos from my iPhone.

don't get me wrong.

instagram is amazing.

but clearly instagram and my iPhone have been carrying me through the last 2 1/2 months.

anywhoo.

finally some real pics.

because,

let's get real.

my 3 month post placement report is due in like 1 week.

and they are asking for pictures.

and i'm not real sure they want

instagram pics with filters.

and truth be told...

this was all my hairdresser's idea of us going to the zoo.

I guess I must have been some kind of debbie downer during my appointment...

because he said..

you know what you need to do...

you just need to take your whole family to the zoo today.

sounds reasonable to me.

so honestly.

we skipped church.

skipped our responsibilities of 8th grade d group

and I really am sorry to the other d group leaders that we totally skipped out on.

and we all took Beck to the zoo.

so here are our pics...

and I hope the powers that be in Ethiopia that read over post placement reports,

don't mind if there might be an orangutan in the background of Beck's pictures on the post placement report.

because I clearly cannot make my hair look like this...
that is all my hairdresser.
it will never look like this again.

We had a wonderful time at the zoo and it was a beautiful day.

Well, we all had a wonderful time,
until a few of us....
were completely OVER the zoo.
I won't mention any names.

I am really thankful that we took the time to do this.

It just seems that life is so crazy these days...

sometimes you just gotta stop 

and take a mental health day...

even if I did think previously... that would probably take place at a spa...
