So...
the award for the world's worst mom goes out to...
me.
Brooks turned 16 in March,
and I seriously have not one single picture to document this monumental birthday.
big.fat.loser.
We even had a very small party with a few of his friends at our house.
But you know,
it gets a little weird with 16 year olds and boys and girls at a get together.
And I just didn't take any pictures.
It was very low key,
just hanging out and eating chicken fingers and such.

So this is what I do have,
pictures of the surprise of getting a truck about a week before his birthday.
He had no idea.
We just called him outside...
This pic is when he walked outside and saw it.
I think he didn't even know how to react.
the girls jumped in it before he could even get in!
He was very happy and surprised.
And let me just say that,
now that he is able to drive...
it has changed my life!

And while we are on the subject of Brooks...
He had the honor of being asked to banquet by his "friend" Jenna.
It was her banquet, that is why she did the asking! ha!
do not even ask me about his outfits in this post.
I have no words.
I promise - I taught him better
leaving to go to banquet!

His friend Dave, who lives in our neighborhood.
A regular at our house! :)
They have been friends since 4th grade.
And Beck even manage to get in one!
They had a wonderful night.
It was a whole new experience for this momma...
buying flowers, renting tuxes, and taking fancy pictures!
Fun times for sure!
