Christmas Eve

Every year after lunch and opening presents from Christmas #2 in San Antonio, we drive back home. We usually arrive home just in time to change clothes and get to Derek's parents house for more Christmas Eve activities. This includes the very exciting reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Grandad has apparently been reading this since Derek's older brother, Kelly, was born some 42 odd years ago. Now we have 8 grandkids who all get to listen and also help read the book. We always have them in matching pajamas. So far, the big boys haven't seemed to mind. It is a kind of like a circus to get them to all be still for 1 picture that they are all in. There is a lot of wiggling around!

But here is the sad thing this year... we are missing one... cousin Emily was sick last night with the throw up thing, so she was not there. We missed her very much! :(.

Here is Ellison singing "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth"

Then we rushed home and set out cookies and milk for Santa and the kids went to bed very fast! It was late!
