The only bit of history you will ever see on my blog and Christmas Part 2/San Antonio

So we usually go to San Antonio 2-3 times a year and I lived most of my life (pre-college) in San Antonio. All that to say that I have only been to the Alamo once in my life (in high school, so you know how much I cared at that time!) and my kids have asked to go over and over again. Since Halle Caroline is in 4th grade Texas History this year, we decided we were doing an injustice to our kids to have not taken them. So here is just a tad bit of Texas History - "Remember the Alamo!" The battle of the Alamo is when the Republic of Texas was fighting Mexico for the Territory - ummm whatever that means.... you know.... Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone, Santa Anna, etc... Photography is not allowed inside the Alamo, so I was not able to get any pics inside, bummer

These were on the San Antonio Riverwalk. I didn't do a very good job getting the beautiful Christmas lights in the picture :(

Then....
Christmas Part 2/ San Antonio

All 3 kids got video cameras and now I am having to be on my best behavior because EVERYTHING I SAY AND DO is being videod. Not a good gift idea that I came up with!

My cute cousins: Emaleigh Caitlin (who is named after my sister-Emily and me-my middle name is Leigh) and Kara

And here is another cousin, Samantha with her Polka Dot Dreams goodie - cute towel wrap!

I have only been to the Alamo once too. I need to put that on my "to do" for 2009. Don't really remember it.

And yes, the tiny camcorder for a kid. Bad bad idea?
