Happy Birthday Halle Caroline!

Dear Sweet Halle Caroline~

Happy 11th birthday!!! We want to tell you how proud we are of you and your decision to donate your birthday to charity:water.  What an amazing and sweet heart you have!  Your decision to to ask your friends to donate $11 on your 11th birthday is such a precious and wonderful thing that you did.  Do you realize that you are changing and saving lives by giving people clean water?!?  At 11 years old, baby, YOU GET IT!!! You really do get it!!! The Lord call us to help the "least of these".... meaning orphans, the poor.  You are fulfilling one of God's calls for you.  I am so proud that you see and understand the need for people to get clean water in order to prevent them from getting diseases and becoming very ill and possibly dying.  Do you know that you are also allowing children your age to be able to go to school instead of having to walk for miles and hours just to get clean dirty water for their families.

We are so happy that you are allowing the Lord to work through you to help these people.  We are also happy that you are being a leader among your friends and raising awareness for the great need of clean water to people in third world countries.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity"

We had a great "SPLASH BASH for charity:water"!!!! So much fun!!!  Here are many pictures of the girls while they got their party on!!!

Back it up.... Halle Caroline got this little "gift" in the mail yesterday from someone we have never even met!!! She was sooooooo excited!!! We look forward to meeting the McCuistons soon, as they are in process of adopting a sweet little one from Ethiopia too!!!  Thank you McCuistons!!!

It was so fun!!!! Glad it's over. whew!

*I need to tell you about those cute t-shirts.... I emailed a local company here about pricing because I had no idea how much these things cost... I told them kinda what we wanted it to say and what Halle Caroline was doing for charity:water.  The owner emailed me back and said, "because of what you daughter is doing and her kind heart... I would like to donate the shirts!!" (paraphrased)  I kid you not!  F-R-E-E! FREE!  So if you are local and need t-shirts... I feel like I need to advertise for them!!!  Email me if you ever need a t-shirt company!

I am so extremely glad to report that Halle Caroline's goal was $500 for charity:water and she exceeded it!!! Awesome!

And also....for those of you who were wondering... she did not get the puppy. :(  We told her that we would revisit the idea after we had little guy home and were adjusted to life as a family of 6!  We explained to her that we all agreed to the sacrifices that it was going to take to have an addition to our family and that we already have one big dog... and what if little guy is scared of dogs... and we have 2 big dogs (1 being a puppy)...just not good timing.  She wasn't happy about it, but she understood.
