Time for a Beck update!

Beck continues to do so well!

We are so very thankful!!!

He is starting to use more and more English,

which actually makes me a little sad.

I just wish he could hold onto his Amharic and Oromo (sp?).

And seriously,

you should all be amazed at my Amharic skilz.

I am good, I tell ya!

In the past few days,

he has started saying "Taaaaank youuuuuu"

for everything we give him!

So cute!

Brooks taught him to say

"COME ON!"

and he walks around telling Trooper...

"Twoopa COME ON!"

oh and by the way...

he is not one bit scared of that big ole woosha anymore!

yep, they are best friends now! :)

It took 12 days, and boom! bff's!

I'm pretty sure he understands just about every single thing we say.

at 3 weeks home.

or he just says "ow" to everything we say, who knows?!

He says, "L N O" (that's how it's sounds)

which until yesterday I thought meant, "it's the same" (pointing at 2 different things)

found out yesterday on my amharic app, it means

"IT'S MINE!"

such a 3 year old! :)

Today while on a slide that was in the sun,
he said,
"ouch, it's hot!"

He has also mastered the art of "cheer facials"
and will not smile any other way while in a picture with Halle Caroline!

He continues to love the "who's caca and who's conjo game"
(who is ca-ca and who is beautiful)

Beck's likes:

yogurt

fruit chews (caramela)

pasta

rice

chips and queso or hot sauce

trooper

makina (car or anything with wheels or a motor)

swimming

baths

Target (of course, he's my child!)
pancakes
anything he can dip (french fries in ketchup, etc)

Beck's dislikes:
meat
Wal*Marts
jr high pep rallys
loud worship music in church :/
(which is my favorite! gonna have to get on the same page w that!)

We are having an absolutely blast with him!
It is taking me a little getting used to not being able to run out the door to run an errand,
and instead do things around nap times.
Just having a 3 year old in tow,
slows the pace for sure!

Life is good!
and so is God!
